Bulgaria and Romania intend to create a joint information center aiming to present their tourist products. This became known after the meetings in Bukurest in which the Nikolina Angelkova, Bulgaria’s Tourism Minister, Liviu Dragnea, Romania’s Deputy Prime Minister and Eugen Teodorovici, the Minister of the European Funds took part.
Romania is a key tourist market and a partner of Bulgaria and the bilateral relations between both countries as far as tourism is concerned, are characterized by good traditions, explained Angelkova.
Both countries agreed on a joint business meeting in the city of Rousse that will take place during the second half of December this year where the specific details related to the creating of the information center will be discussed as well as the possibilities for the presenting of the joint tourist products including the projects that are part of the EU strategy for the Danube Region.
By means of these products, it will be possible for more visitors from remote markets (such as China, Japan, India etc.) to be attracted by the Balkan countries. The representatives of the Bulgarian tourism industry will be informed about the idea by Angelkova’s staff right before the meeting in Rousse.Nikolina Angelkova, Bulgaria’s Tourism Minister opened the business forum named ‘’Food and beverage from sunny Bulgaria’’ where more than 25 Bulgarian companies took part – they were producers and distributors in the field of the food industry.
She put an emphasis on the fact that enhancing the bilateral business relations in this sphere are closely related to the tourism. Angelkova also explained that this should be a great opportunity for Romanian people to be familiarized with the amazing Bulgarian cuisine and our outstanding wines.
