Eco routes attract tourists in Strandzha Mountain

Another eco route of 11 total which are located in the Strandzha Nature Park was officially opened within the framework of the Sustainable Management and Structure of the Strandzha Nature Park Project. The new path named ‘’Birds’’ begins from the village of Sinemorets, continues along the right bank of the Veleka River and reaches the Mouth of the Veleka River Protected Area.
The tour along the eco route offers incredibly illustrious views and excellent opportunity for bird watching. New signs showing detailed information about the bird diversity are put in the area.
During the migration period one can watch five world endangered species in the Strandzha Nature Park – the small cormorant, the Dalmatian pelican, the ferruginous duck, the corn crake and the aquatic warbler.
The Sustainable Management and Structure of the Strandzha Nature Park Project is likely to be completed until the end of October. So far, reports about the assessment of the condition of the areas and of the protected species have been prepared and protection, restoration and prevention measures have already been taken.
The built interpretive, connoisseur and tourist routes significantly attract the interest of guests of the park. The marking is renewed and the existing routes are made safe. Cycle routes are also ready to use! Themed multimedia presentations and audio tourist guides are elaborated which aim to inform tourists about five routes in Bulgarian and English.
A new guide is elaborated facilitating local residents containing information about sustainable use of agricultural lands, protection of reptiles, birds and small mammals. A strategy on eco tourism is created and Standard of Park Infrastructure is drawn
