Larger number of tourists in Bulgaria in 2013 – 5,8 % increase
04.10.2013
According to Branimir Botev, Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy, the number of tourists in Bulgaria has reached about 5,8 % up until now.
Botev focuses on the fact that tourism is the main financial factor that contributes to the economic growth. The increase amounts to 3,5 % which is twice faster as far as the tourism development in the state is concerned. According to recently released data, the number of Russian tourists is the largest one – 15, 5%.
This trend is due to multiple issued Schengen visas owned by some Russian people, most of whom have properties in Bulgaria but they are not statistically registered.
