The beautiful Venetsa Cave disposed 7 km away from the town of Belogradchik will welcome its first tourists in the end of April, Konstantin Filipov, Mayor of the village of Gara Oreshets informs tourist media.
The cave was found during shot firing in a neighbouring stone pit and it was only accessible for workers. According to a project of the Municipality of Dimovo, funded by a cross-border collaboration Bulgaria – Serbia, the lovely cave has undergone a two-year improvement.
Venetsa is one of the most beautiful caves in the country. It is 200 m long and it has just one gallery. Wondrous diverse stalactites and stalagmites formed onto it. It can be seen for a short time and without any equipment or preparation.
